ALMA’s recent online sessions “Explain Treasury Like I’m Five” have proved so popular that we have taken some of the topics covered in these sessions and turned them into podcasts.

In the final episode of ALMA’s current series of “Treasury Matters” podcasts, CertBALM®er, Lydia Robinson from Nationwide, talks to Aisling Coleman (ALMA Board Member and Barclays) about the basics of Recovery and Resolution. Recovery aims to prevent a firm from failing, whereas Resolution addresses what happens when a firm cannot be saved and fails.

It’s a brilliant listen whether you are new to Treasury, work in a bank or already know something about R&R.

The Asset and Liability Management Association Limited

ALMA was formed in 1992 as a trade association of asset & liability risk management practitioners in leading banks, building societies and other related companies. The company has over 110 members from UK, Irish and international institutions. The company’s primary aims are to provide education, networking opportunities and promote awareness of asset and liability risk management issues within Treasury and a wider bank balance sheet. We do this through a series of courses, conferences and in-person and online events. ALMA seeks to promote and share best practice in related risk management techniques and approaches.
